William Alsop, architecte et artiste anglais (1947), après ses études auprès de la Architectural Association à Londres, a travaillé avec Cedric Price, Roderick Ham et aJan Störmer jusqu’au début de l’an 2001, puis il a ouvert le cabinet Alsop Architects. Les projets les plus révélateurs sont le terminal des ferries de Hambourg, le Cardiff Barrage & Visitor Center, l’Hôtel du Département à Marseille, les gares de Tottenham Hale et de North Greenwich à Londres, le siège Reuters à Moscou et les archives de l’Etat à Hambourg. Le travail et les projets d’Alsop ont reçu de nombreux prix. L’activité professionnelle a été intégrée avec l’enseignement. Il meurt en 2018.

In 1998, after his graduation in Architecture at the University of Florence, he moved to London. He joined Alsop Architects in 1999, getting involved with a wide range of projects, from architecture, product and furniture design to masterplanning. Subsequently he begun working under the direct supervision of Will Alsop and with the artist Bruce McLean in Valencia, Spain, as project and site architect of the installations for the 2nd Valencia contemporary Art Biennale, comprising more than 800 sqm of art installations and exhibitions. Furthermore, I have helped developing the Alsop range of products and furniture, most notably for Alessi.
