VIRGIL ABLOH
CONVERSATIONAL OBJECTS
At the intersection between tradition and good cuisine, in Conversational Objects Virgil Abloh imagines the table as the theatre for dialogue and conversation. The designer rethinks cutlery in the modern meaning of the term: simple, non-discriminating, almost brutal.
Conversational Objects chooses the dining table as the perfect scene for conversation and starting relationships, and elevates cutlery as a unique and modern design object. The 16-piece cutlery set, cutlery holder and candlestick celebrate steel as a material for its versability, durability, and sustainability.
The garage-inspired Conversational Objects takes cutlery from the garage to the dining table, perfectly marrying the finished product with the tools used in its realisation with a subtle resemblance.
