Jim Hannon-Tan’s style and viewpoint have been shaped by a diversity of inputs and ideas. Born in Spain, he grew up with Asian influences in multicultural Australia before moving to Europe to hone his skills in the design studios of Milan, Amsterdam and London over the course of 15 years. His creative base is now back in Australia, where he is inspired by the vast landscapes, East-West fusion, and the potential of design to humanise new technologies and advanced manufacturing.

Designer and meta-projector, graduate of the DAMS in Bologna, wrote the book "L'officina Alessi. Alberto Alessi and Alessandro Mendini: Ten years of projects, 1980-1990". In 1990, Alberto Alessi entrusted her with the management of the Alessi Study Centre (CSA), a place of experimentation where professionals from different disciplines and young creatives came together in workshops and designed innovative collections, developing the concept of meta-design. Since 2000, she has continued her collaboration with Alessi as part of the LPWK Design Studio, which she founded and manages. She teaches at the Domus Academy and the NABA.
