Designed by Naoto Fukasawa for the Eugenia service, this elegant water glass is not only visually refined: when your lips touch the glass, you perceive that the rim rises slightly vertically, a small detail that lends uniqueness to the object. It is called "Donkaku," a term in Japanese that refers to the obtuse angle: a detail chosen by Fukasawa to characterize the minimalist design of all the elements in the service.

Eugenia is a set of crystalline glasses, complete with a jug and decanter, designed to cater to every requirement of contemporary dining. The name is a tribute to Alberto Alessi’s winery, “La signora Eugenia e il passero solitario”, whose products come in a bottle inspired by a design by Leonardo da Vinci. Taking his cue from this bottle, Naoto Fukasawa developed a set characterised by pure, essential design, featuring a line with an obtuse angle, "Donkaku" in Japanese, which becomes the formal characteristic of the entire set.
